Flowers are blooming… it’s finally Spring! Here at Hallockville, we’re celebrating the season with basket making classes, gardening, quilting meetups, music and more!

Basket Making for Beginners

A tisket a tasket a spring-made basket! Join expert basket weaving artist, Barbara Blossey- Chuvalas for a three week course on this traditional craft. Each student will complete a square, round and heart basket.

April 26, May 3 and May 10 from 7pm to 9:30pm. Space is limited and advanced registration is required.

Spring Cleaning Days at the Farm

April 26th 10am to 2pm AND
April 29th 10am to 2pm

Help us get the grounds ready for the spring and summer. We will rake flower beds, tidy up our outdoor spaces along with other odds and ends! Please bring: work gloves and rakes. Dress for the weather; we will work through light showers but heavy rain will cancel.

Hallockville Carving Club
Sunday April 30, 1pm to 4pm

Do you wood carve or have always wanted to learn? Either way, we have a place for you! Join the Carving Club which meets the last Sunday of every month at Hallockville Museum Farm. All skill levels are welcome just bring a carving knife (or we’ll lend you one!) and some ideas for a project.
If you have questions about your skill level need some help with project ideas please contact the coordinator of the group, Mark Vosburgh.

Free Event. Any person 16 years of age or under must be accompanied by an adult.

Annual Long Island Fleece and Fiber Fair May 20 & 21

10am to 4pm

Hallockville Old Time Jam
Thursdays: May 11 & May 25, 7pm to 9pm

Join this unique group of talented musicians for some jam sessions in the barn! Twice each month the Hallockville Old Time Jam Band meets at the Naugles Barn to get together and play old airs and tunes such as John Brown’s Dream, Shove that Pigsfoot, and Cluck Old Hen (just to name a few!). Annual Spring Tea
Friday, June 16, 1pm to 4pm

Please join us for a lovely afternoon of delectable savories, sweets and assorted teas. Featuring an auction of beautiful handmade items. Don’t forget to wear your favorite spring hat!

Quilt and Stitch
Saturday, June 17, 9am to 4pm

Join this relaxed group, interested in preserving and sharing the hand folk arts of quilting and needlework in a historic setting. ALL are welcome!Come in the morning and stay all day, or come when you can!
  •  9 AM – 12 PM  Community Quilt Sewing (it’s a mystery!)
  • 12 PM – 1 PM Brown Bag Discussion
  • 1 PM – 4 PM Open Sew (bring what you are working on!)
