Alex Ferrone Gallery: ‘Small Bites, Small Works’ / Nov 24 – Jan 21

Small Bites, Small Works –

A Feast For The Eyes At Alex Ferrone Gallery

An exciting new exhibit all about food opens on Saturday, November 24 at Alex Ferrone Gallery on the North Fork.  “Small Bites” is the sixth annual national juried Small Works exhibition for the Gallery, with fifty-two pieces selected by photographic artists from around the United States.  The juror, professional commercial photographer Jim Lennon, chose a wide variation of the theme and included representational, abstract and conceptual color and black and white images, artistic still lifes, and commercial compositions.  On exhibit and available for purchase are works of food, the art of cooking, the dinner table, food in society, and in the chef’s kitchen, as well as photographs of scrumptious desserts and bountiful harvests.  All works are affordably sized 12×12 inches or smaller for the gift-giving season.

The public can meet the artists at the free opening reception on Small Business Saturday, November 24 from 6-8pm. The Gallery chooses this same time each year for their Small Works exhibit as a reminder of the importance to “Shop Small” in local communities on Small Business Saturday and throughout the year.  Small Bites runs through January 21, 2019.
