Art Omi: ‘Light Into Night’ Fall Benefit Auction / September 15

Tickets Available Now for Art Omi’s Light Into Night

Fall Benefit Auction on September 15

On Saturday, September 15 at 6:30 p.m., Art Omi hosts Light Into Night, its annual fall benefit auction on its Ghent campus. Light Into Night brings together a wide breadth of artistic disciplines, internationalism and community, all set against the rustic backdrop of the Art Omi Art Studio Barns.

Since 2014, Light Into Night has set a precedent by cultivating a community of enthusiasts invested in sustaining this rich cultural legacy and enriching the quality of life in Columbia County. Past guests have raved that Light Into Night was “not only one of the best arts events in Columbia County, but also one of the most enjoyable non-profit fundraisers that they have ever been to,” said Ruth Adams, Executive Director of Art Omi. By putting art and artists at the forefront, Light Into Night continues Art Omi’s mission of forming community with creative expression as its common denominator, and creating a sanctuary for the artistic community that affirms the transformative quality of art.

Light Into Night is one of two major fundraisers for Art Omi, a not-for-profit arts center. Art Omi’s 2018 NYC Benefit took place on June 6 at the Edison Ballroom, and raised $500,000 for Art Omi’s important work of supporting artists, creating cross-cultural connections and presenting international arts programming of highest caliber in the Hudson Valley.

This year, Light Into Night features a food hall-style meal presented by The Flammerie of Kinderhook, and Oak Pizzeria Napoletana of Hudson. The meal will be interspersed with avant-garde art happenings and innovative performances by Art Omi alumni and friends. Silent and live auctions feature the opportunity to bid on unique art experiences, luxury vacations, and monotype prints by alumni of Art Omi’s artist-in-residence program. The Little Stars campfire party for children aged 4 – 12 provides a campfire, art-making, and more from 6:30 – 9 at the Benenson Center.

Tickets for Light Into Night are available to purchase until the day of the event at:

Art Omi

Art Omi believes that exposure to internationally diverse creative voices fosters tolerance and respect, raises awareness, inspires innovation, and ignites change. By forming community with creative expression as its common denominator, Omi creates a sanctuary for the artistic community and the public to affirm the transformative quality of art.
