Cutchogue New Suffolk Library: Modern Architecture on NF

A NEW WAVE OF MODERN ARCHITECTURE ON THE NORTH FORK

PROJECTS FROM ORIENT TO LAUREL

On Exhibit thru October

The Friends of the Cutchogue New Suffolk Library are honored to host an exhibition on “A New Wave of Modern Architecture on the North Fork”, featuring the work of seven architects and firms who have built interesting projects in a modern idiom from Orient to Laurel.  The exhibit has been assembled by Barry Bergdoll, Professor of Art History at Columbia University.

The exhibition will be on view in the library Upstairs Gallery during September and October.  Architects represented are Joseph Tanney and Robert Luntz from Resolution: 4 Architecture, Glynis M. Berry and Hideaki Ariizumi of Studio A/B Architects, as well as William Ryall, Richard Gluckman,  Allan Wexler, and John Berg, plus the firm So-IL and Shenton Architects.  Professor Bergdoll was the creator of the hugely successful 2017 MoMA exhibit “Frank Lloyd Wright at 150: Unpacking the Archive.”  The exhibition was designed by the New York graphic design firm 2 X 4.  It is the fifth in our series of “Wind Down Fridays”.
