“Summer Twilight” Raffle Quilt

“Summer Twilight Quilt” Designed by C.Klos, Constructed by members of the Hallockville Quilt and Stitch Group (HQASG) (without whose herculean efforts and many nights sewing, this quilt would not be a reality) A. Lamberti, P. Capasso, A. Hinderhofer, U. Woods, R. Monaco, H. Reycroft, M. Herold, M. Deuel, C. Klos, Quilted by N.Boyer of Myerstown, PA.

This queen sized quilt was designed in the Electric Quilt software using traditional pieced and appliqued blocks, and a custom arc for the outer border. The applique is done by machine. Both the piecing and applique were done by a group of ladies and the results are beautiful. It will be machine quilted and ready for display at the Fall Festival in September. All fabrics were donated, so this is a true (but coordinated) scrap quilt, made of several different yellow, blue and green fabrics. It is called Summer Twilight because of the sunny colors and blues of twilight as the hot sun goes down. We hope it will remind you to slow down, remember simpler times and enjoy the Long Island Summer.
