Long Island Museum: ‘Silver Linings: Artists Search….’ / 11.30 – 1.27.19

Every cloud has a silver lining and to prove it, the Long Island Museum will present Silver Linings: Artists Search for Meaning, the annual exhibition by members of the museum’s collaborative arts group, LIMarts on Friday, November 30, 2018.
Silver Linings is the group’s fifth annual exhibition.   LIMarts members will search for their own meanings behind any silver lining and convey that meaning through their work.  With more than 100 LIMarts members, we invite visitors to see what they’ve come up with.
Silver Linings will be on display in the Visitors Center from November 30, 2018 through January 27, 2019.  Through the month of January, while the rest of the museum is closed for installation of the spring 2019 exhibitions, admission to Silver Linings will be free.  In addition, admission is free on Sunday, December 2 for the museum’s annual winter open house.
To enhance and support the artistic wealth that is prevalent on Long Island, in 2014 the Long Island Museum created LIMarts: A Collaborative Arts Group, designed for artists interested in creating a forum within the community where they can show and share their work. In addition to an annual members’ only exhibition, the museum hosts various informative programs and workshops throughout the year designed by and for artists in the area.  Anyone interested in joining LIMarts may contact Alexandria D’Auria at (631) 751-0066 x285 or development@longislandmuseum.org
