February’s  Book-in-the-Woods

Sugarbush Spring by Marsha Wilson Chall.

Come for a self-guided half-mile walk and read a story as you go! This beautifully illustrated book tells the story of a girl and her grandfather

sharing the family tradition of tapping maple trees, collecting sap and making maple syrup. A delicious read!

Wintering Birds of the Fields, Woods and Creeks

Did you know that Central and South America aren’t the only destinations for birds that fly south? For some species, Mashomack is

the perfect winter destination. Bring your binoculars and join Tom Damiani to see if we can find overwintering bluebirds, buffleheads,

and other birds which take advantage of our relatively mild East End winters.
