Since the Pollock-Krasner House and Study Center opened in June 1988, its permanent collection has been enriched by the acquisition of artwork by Jackson Pollock, Lee Krasner, and others. Among the highlights are an untitled oil painting by Pollock (Composition with Red Arc and Horses), from the WPA period; Embrace, a large 1974 screenprint by Krasner; an abstraction by Alfonso Ossorio, ca. 1950, painted on one of the baseball game boards Pollock gave him; Glory I, (1979-81), 1995, an oil on board by Roy Newell; Robert Arneson’s bronze bookends, Saga of Jackson Pollock, 1988; works on paper by Stanley William Hayter, Thomas Hart Benton, Mike Bidlo and James Brooks; and photographs by Martha Holmes, Hans Namuth, Maurice Berezov, Mark Patiky, Tony Vaccaro and Fred McDarrah. The exhibition will be accompanied by a digital caralog in PastPerfect Online, available on the Internet.
