SAG HARBOR WHALING & HISTORICAL MUSEUM
CAPITAL CAMPAIGN FUND
The Sag Harbor Whaling & Historical Museum is the recipient of a $ 50,000 challenge grant from the Century Arts Foundation to help in the restoration and exterior painting of the historic Benjamin Huntting House, built in 1845.
The cost of Phase I of the repair and exterior painting is $ 180,000. Ince Painting, chosen to do the work, is expected to begin in September, 2013.
Our Goal: To raise $ 150,000 to complete this undertaking. As “Stewards” of the Sag Harbor Whaling & Historical Museum, we continue to share our history and epic whaling legacy, while also providing an environment that offers hope and education through the arts about the importance of our oceans.
Sag Harbor Whaling & Historical Museum is thrilled to be part of the Beautification of Main Street, Sag Harbor, and is honored to stand among its fellow institutions: the John Jermain Memorial Library, the Customs House, the Annie Cooper Boyd House and Canio’s Books.
With your help we can meet our goal.
