A Tale of Two Beasts by Fiona Roberson

A little girl “rescues” a strange beast from the woods, but for some reason, the little beast is not happy.

There are definitely two sides to this story.


Owl Prowl

Saturday, November 10, 4:30-6 PM

Owls are most vocal and active at sundown. Come learn about these storied birds and have a chance to hear and possibly see screech owls. Join Tom Damiani on this search for nocturnal creatures.

Bring binoculars and a flashlight. 


Birds of Prey: A Live Animal Presentation

Friday, November 23, 1-2 PM

A day-after-Thanksgiving treat for the whole family! Raptors have amazing adaptations that allow them to be incredible hunters. A Quogue Wildlife Refuge naturalist will entertain and amaze you with facts about our hawk and owl friends.  Close up views guaranteed!   Rain or shine.

Holiday Open House

Saturday, December 8, 2-5:00 PM

Mulled cider, eggnog, and the good cheer of the season

are the perfect complement to the Manor House’s festive decorations.

Join in the holiday spirit with your neighbors and friends,

sing favorite songs and tour Mashomack’s 19th century Victorian mansion,

decked out in her holiday greens.

Nature craft activity for kids.
